Bear/Grizzly Hunt #8
In several areas of Alaska, in an effort to bring down bear
numbers, Alaska G&F has opened up grizzly bear/brown
bear seasons year round, and also is allowing baiting for
the first time in memory. This hunt takes place in the Copper River drainages, about 250 miles east of Anchorage. To
reach the hunting area, hunters fly to Anchorage, rent a
car and drive the Glenallen Highway, east to the main
lodge. From there, hunting camps are reached via jetboat.
Camps away from the main lodge are comfortable tent
camps. Elevated blinds are set up to view the bait sites.
Hunters may spend a night in the blind, should hunting
(and safety) issues dictate that. This is one of our best values in a quality Alaskan Brown Bear (Boone & Crockett)
