n behalf of the Regatta’s
Board of Directors, as well as
everyone at our Presenting
Sponsor BNY Mellon, we welcome you
to Boston for this year’s Head Of The
Charles Regatta, the largest two-day
rowing event in the world.
For the fourth consecutive year,
BNY Mellon is the Presenting Sponsor
of the Head Of The Charles Regatta
and is delighted to support this iconic
New England event in its fifty-second
year.
In this Olympic year and as rowing continues to expand domestically
and internationally, BNY Mellon has
been instrumental in raising the profile
of the sport. This year the company
became a Gold Medal Sponsor of
USRowing and the U.S. teams in Rio,
and continued to support the OxfordCambridge Boat Races in the U.K.
A total of thirteen former Boat
Race oarsmen and women raced at
the Olympic Games, earning a total of
six gold medals in the Men’s Coxless
Four and Men’s Eight, and two silver
medals in the Women’s Eight. Additionally, this year the U.S. Women’s
Eight earned gold medals at the
Olympics.
