Post since 1997 and has written extensively about
immigration, government and crime, including a series
on tracing guns used to kill police officers, which
won an Emmy award in 2011. Thompson also served
as a White House correspondent during the Obama
administration. She was part of the reporting team
that won the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting.
is the deputy director of the
International Consortium of Investigative Journalism.
A native of Argentina, she has won and shared more
than 25 national and international awards for her
investigations, including honors from Long Island
University’s George Polk Awards, Investigative
Reporters and Editors, Overseas Press Club, the
Society of Professional Journalists and the European
Commission. Recently, she co-managed the Panama
Papers investigation, one of the biggest leaks in
journalistic history, which involved more than 370
reporters in 76 countries.

the head of POV Digital, the new media production
division of the PBS documentary series POV, Wasey
oversees original digital productions, programming
and licensing, and is founder of POV Digital Lab, a
weekend media lab. Wasey is also a former news
editor and film festival director. He is a member of the
Producers Guild of America.
