Since incorporated on July 3, 1979, the Calabasas-Las Virgenes Historical Society
has been dedicated to promoting and preserving the unique and colorful history of
Calabasas and its surrounding environment through education, programs, and the
exchange of ideas and information with other organizations.
The Society maintains archival
collections containing important
photographs, books, artifacts and
documents from three former
archives: The Kathleen Beachy
Memorial Library, the Ruth Loring
Collection of Southern California
History at the Calabasas Library,
and the Las Virgenes Historical
Archives at the Agoura Hills Library.
The Calabasas-Las Virgenes
Historical Society invites you to
stake a claim in Calabasas and
surrounding environs. Explore the
“Old West” and join us as a
supporter or active participant.
Our meetings and activities suit
almost every interest and
age range.
