ENN VALLEY’S HISTORY dates to the
Gold Rush days when discouraged
miners gave up their pans for plows,
and the valley became an agricultural community known as the “Pantry of the
Northern Mines.” Just six miles from Grass
Valley, the Penn Valley of today has maintained its rural atmosphere while attracting
a variety of businesses. Within minutes is
Lake Wildwood, a gated community founded in 1960 as a weekend retreat, now home
to permanent residents who enjoy its many
amenities including a golf course and lake.
