It is pretty obvious this is a truly beautiful part of
Northern California, but there are other reasons
for such a statement. For example, how easy it is to
become part of this active community. Then there is
the personal attention you get from local businesses.
Volunteerism is also an important aspect of local life
from building a hiking trail to conducting tours at a
state historic park to raising money for the arts, school
activities or services for the homeless. People in Nevada
County care about the place they call home.
