Martin Luther King Jr. is an inspiration to people today. He showed to everyone in the world that no matter the opposition, good will always win. You can be put down time after time, but no matter what, if you keep fighting good will always win.

Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the well known Civil Rights leaders in the 20th century. Due to him being a Christian, he worked his way through civil rights by using nonviolent protest. Many people were amazed at his work and how professional he can be in most occasions. He was one with the people and they supported him throughout his campaign. Many who were at first against him were moved at how he has this ambition to help those that really need it.

M.L.K. led the civil rights movement in the 1960s up until his death. King led several non violent protests against racism and segregation against black Americans. On August 28, 1963, King led his famous march on Washington and I have a Dream speech. King would meet with both Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson in 1963 and 1965. King would go on to lead several marches and protests over the next several years until he was assassinated by James Earl Ray on April 4 1968 after giving a speech in Memphis, Tennessee.

MLK tried committing suicide at the age of 12. In May, 1941 his grandmother passed away with a heart attack. During this time, he completely disregarded his parents’ orders to stay home. MLK went to a parade that day. When the parade finished, he came home to find his grandmother had passed away when he wasn’t there to see her for the last time. Martin went upstairs to the second story, and jumped from the window.

Martin Luther King Jr. became the face of the movement to end segregation. He was a Civil Rights leader and preached against the laws that separated by color. He fought these wrong laws between the years of the 1950ss and 1960s. He was a role model to many modern day speakers because he spoke so properly. He had respect for others, and others respected him. He was killed on April 4, 1968 by a racist man named James Earl Ray. This action brought an end to peaceful protest and America was affected hard by this action. Martin Luther King Jr. will be remembered throughout human history as one of the best Civil Right leaders in the world.
