Junior Retreat

By: Davin Ortego

The junior retreat was a bonding, emotional, and heart-opening experience that every junior enjoyed. As a class, they volunteered at ARC sorting Mardi Gras beads, and then they participated in the retreat on campus. On retreat day, they had mass and played exciting sports. There were several moments where everyone shared a laugh and other moments where students and retreat leaders shared in heart to heart discussions. Everyone got closer to God, some of whom began turning to God that day. The Shaw Junior Retreat was one that every junior will remember and hold deeply in their hearts, and it can be credited for bringing the junior class closer to each other. Everyone should experience at least one retreat like this in their life, whether it be something simple or something complex.
