Art FUN for Kids
In June and July KIAC offered a condensed version of our annual Kids Art Camp – Art
FUN for kids. This program introduced youth between the ages of six and nine to the
fascinating world of art. In addition to exploring contemporary art practices, the young
participants met local and visiting artists, and sampled a variety of artistic mediums –
all in a safe and fun environment. The program culminated in an exhibition and an
opportunity for the participants to teach their parents some of the skills they learned in
the program.
A dedicated group of 12 children participated in the program which featured eight
two hour sessions revolving around the following themes: Pictures and Prints; Buttons,
Beads and Pillows; Creatures and Creations; Papier Mache.
