SPEAKER BIOS
WENDY LEVY is the Director of New Arts Axis.
She is also a Senior Consultant with the Sundance
Institute Documentary Film Program and the
Co-Founder of Sparkwise, an online data and story
platform funded by the MacArthur Foundation, Ford
Foundation and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
CHARLES LEWIS, a former ABC News and
60 Minutes producer, founded the Investigative
Reporting Workshop and before that the Center for
Public Integrity and its International Consortium of
Investigative Journalists. Lewis recently helped create
the Investigative News Network, comprised of more
than 90 nonprofit news publishers. He is a professor
at American University School of Communication.
KATHLEEN LINGO is the coordinating producer of
The New York Times’ Op-Doc series. Before joining
The Times, she worked on news and documentary
projects at HBO, IFC, WNYC, and Jigsaw Productions.
Last year, she won an Emmy as part of the team for A
Short History of the Highrise produced by The New
York Times and the National Film Board of Canada.
RICHARD LOGAN is the founding executive of a
UK-based Mac software company, and is president of
The Reva and David Logan Foundation of Chicago. The
foundation is a substantial program contributor to the
Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago
and invests in investigative journalism in the U.S. and
Europe.
