Educational Experiences
Anderson Ranch has a long tradition of providing life-changing
educational experiences in the visual arts. Workshops are rooted in the
same idea: Powerful art requires rigorous inquiry into techniques and
ideas. The summer Workshop Program is tailored to artists of all levels,
from the novice to the emerging to the established—for those who are
seeking an immersion in creativity.
Summer workshops are the heart of our programming. Between June
and September, 1,140 adults, teens and children participated in 102
workshops, exploring new mediums or developing existing skills in all of
the disciplines that Anderson Ranch supports. In addition, Destination
Workshops to Jamaica and San Miguel de Allende, plus the January
Intensive, added another 67 students to the Workshop Program during
non-summer months.
