She ran into trouble on the 15th hole, shooting a bogey on the par five to go to 2-over for the round. On the 17th hole, Wood shot bogey on the par three to fall to 3-over. Wood parred the final hole to finish the back nine with a 2-over 38. Wood finished nationals with round scores of 77-71-74-75. fifth place team finish at the South Super Regional. Wood qualified for the NCAA national championships as an individual after finishing tied for fifth place at the regional tournament earlier this month. Fla. – Elaine Wood was named to the 2015-16 Women’s Golf All-South Region team by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association on Monday, May 16. Wood becomes the first golfer in the program’s history to receive this honor. The All-Region team is selected by the WGCA awards committee who pick the top 10 golfers in each region. Wood, a native of Spanish Fort, Alabama, helped lead the Falcons to their first regional tournament berth in program history and a 52 2015-16
