GC Men’s Basketball’s Harris Tabbed for Division II
All-Star Game
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches
(NABC) recently announced the rosters for the 2016 Reese’s Division II
College All-Star Game, with Georgia College senior guard Terrell Harris
(Indiantown, Florida) on the West Team roster.
The All-Star Game will be held Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m. central
at Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas as part of the festivities surrounding the 2016 NCAA Division II Men’s Elite Eight. The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in
Division II and four as at-large selections.
The 2015-16 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Player of the Year, Harris was the top leading scorer in the region, averaging 24.6 points per
contest, good for sixth in the nation at the end of the regular season.
Harris snapped the single-season mark for scoring in school history
with 713 points. He ranked first in the PBC in scoring, eighth in assists
(117), 10th in rebounds (193) and 10th in steals (46).
Harris boosted his scoring over seven points per contest by
posting 24 20-plus scoring games this season, including four games of
over 30 points. His season scoring average ranks second in PBC history.
Harris was named to D2CCA All-America Honorable Mention, and
All-Southeast Region Team earlier this month.
Harris is the third Bobcat to earn a slot for the Reese’s All-Star
Game, as guard Shaun Keaton did so in 2009, and current GC Men’s
Basketball assistant coach Ryan Aquino played in 2012.
