PBC YEARBOOK Conference history to earn four All-Conference honors. A key member of the Lady Cougar defense, Rolling has helped Columbus State amass 49 shutouts during her four-year career. In this her senior season, Rolling has turned in her best offensive year of her career as well tallying seven goals and four assists. Earlier this season, she was named the PBC Tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring a pair of goals in the championship match. Marti Bartis becomes just the second individual in the illustrious 26-year history of Clayton State Athletics to earn Academic All-American honors. She joins cross country and track and field student-athlete Robert Spezzacatena, who was a Third-Team choice in 2012. Marti Bartis has excelled both academically and athletically in 2015, posting a perfect 4.0 GPA while pursuing a Masters in Health Administration and being one of the top goal scoring threats in the Southeast Region. This season she was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference First-Team and was twice the league’s Player of the Week (Sept. 21, Oct. 19) after driving home 11 goals and finishing with 25 points. Four of those goals were also game-winners, which ranks 50th in the country. Ally Barys was the women’s soccer winner of the PBC Elite 15 Award for 2015, presented to the player competing in the championships with the highest cumulative GPA. The senior from Ladera Ranch, Calif., carries a perfect 4.00 GPA with a major in exercise science. Barys’ academic honor adds to her list of accolades, as she has earned CoSIDA Academic All-District twice, and brought in PBC All-Academic Team three times. On the field, Barys led the Bobcats with five goals on the season and was tied for second on the team with four assists. She finished the season ranked in the PBC’s top 20 in goals, assists and points and had game-winning goals at UNC Pembroke and at Flagler.
