ONS Books
Released for the iPad
As readers’ needs change, so do ONS publications. Four
interactive versions of ONS clinical texts were released
for the iPad in 2013, incorporating video and other
enhanced features to broaden the educational experience.
• Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: A Manual for
Nursing Practice (Second Edition)
• Hematologic Malignancies in Adults
• Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs (Second Edition)
• Cancer Basics
All Hygeia Media books were made available as e-books
for use on the Nook, Kindle, and other popular e-readers.
ONS Publications Evolve
THE ONCOLOGY NURSING FORUM TURNS 40
The Oncology Nursing Forum (ONF)
celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2013
by featuring a retrospective column
called “In the Stacks” about how cancer
care has changed since the journal’s
beginnings, and a new column called
“Genetics & Genomics” made its
debut. In addition, ONF revamped
its long-standing “Oncology Update”
column to the new, single topic–focused
“Update On” column, a direct application of reader feedback. ONF also began
accepting integrative and systematic reviews,
providing readers with highly valued, immediately applicable research. It consistently ranks
among the top two in impact factor among nursing
journals as rated by Thomson Reuters.
