USA PLATE BLOCK COLLECTIONS

1934-2009 COMPLETE MINT DUCK COLLECTION

Ducks COMPLETE for RW1-RW76A. In clear mounts on Scott
National pages to 2010. MINT, some hinged, most lightly,
includes: RW1-11, RW23, RW27-29; others never hinged.
Collection includes self-adhesive panes but no souvenir sheets.
Overall fine to very fine and better. Cat $5712.

In mounts in three Harris Liberty Plate Block Albums. A mixed
bag here, the collection has suffered from moisture damage,
and many, probably most, of the plate blocks in the first two
volumes are stuck down (some lightly). Fortunately, the
Airmails section was spared and there are a number of valuable
items, all fresh and fine-very fine or better, including: MINT
never hinged C3 plate block of 12 with two numbers and two
‘TOP’s, both outside ‘TOP’ pairs are creased vertically,
otherwise fine-very fine plate block; C7-9; C10, C18; and more.
The balance of the collection largely complete from the 1932
Washington Bicentennial set onward, and includes $5 Hamilton
and $5 Moore plate blocks. Even the stuck down material fresh
and very fine appearing and many are only lightly stuck down.
Worth considering.

Selection of 34 mostly different Federal Ducks (and Minnesota
#1), both mint and used. Unfortunately much of the mint is
stuck down on cards. Those that aren’t are hinged. Some of
the stuck down could be worked loose with care, but have
been counted as no gum examples. Some duplication and some
minor faults, but plenty here to work with. Catalog still well
over $2,300. Fine.

1934-74 FEDERAL DUCKS ASSORTMENT ......... $300-400

Assortment of 51 (with duplication) Mint & Used Federal
Ducks RW1//RW41 on album & stock page. Includes: MINT
never hinged RW10 (cv $140), RW12 ($110) & RW37 ($75);
MH RW8 ($125), RW10 & RW11 ($60 each); the remaining
are used including RW1 & RW2 both with natural straight
edge at tops, RW4-6 & RW7 (x2), RW9, RW10, RW14, RW15
(x3), RW20, RW24, RW25 (x5), RW26-27 (x2 each), RW29,
RW31 (x2), RW32, RW33-RW37 (x2 each, RW35 x3),
RW38-RW41. Expect a few faulty, a few with straight edges.
Overall fine to very fine. Estimated cat $1500.

S 1940s ST. LOUIS OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE STAMPS

The original holding of these seldom seen Saint Louis City
Tax stamps, all overprinted SPECIMEN. These are steelengraved Decalcomania stamps from The American Bank Note
archives. Over 825 stamps in seven (7) different denomination
types. Each denomination with ‘SPECIMEN’ overprint &
security punch hole. Includes Specimen large blocks & pairs.
Some large blocks with the Plate Numbers in the selvage. All
small in size, rouletted and without gum as issued. Very fine.
Original instruction sheet included. Amazing stash impossible
to duplicate.

Selection of over 170 Mint & Used DUCK stamps including
Federal, Iowa & Minnesota housed in 9 pocket stock pages.
Includes: Federal Ducks (x67) USED RW8//RW62 with some
duplication and some on licenses with & without state ducks;
Minnesota Ducks MNH for years 1977-95 (#1//20) with a few
duplicates & numbered tabs; Minnesota Ducks USED A1 (x8),
and 23 others (#1//20 with duplication) for years 1977-96, a
few with numbered tabs; Iowa Ducks USED #3//#22 & selected
Wildlife Habitat stamps for years 1980-93. Also a few resident
& non-resident South Dakota Game Bird & Hunting stamps,
some Wisconsin & Minnesota Trout & Salmon and Minnesota
Pheasant Habitat used stamps. Used in mixed condition,
ranging from damaged to FVF, MNH ducks FVF & better.

PLATE BLOCKS COLLECTION ............................. $2000-3000

Collection includes plate blocks with multiple plate positions,
FDCs, scarce used blocks, many Mint including shades, initials
in selvage, etc, for covered issues. A few highlights include:
Harding #610 MH top plate block with Harry S. New signature
& bottom plate block #14988 with double hit on #; HuguenotWalloon issues; Lexington-Concords plus precancels & FDCs;
Norse-Americans plus FDCs; 13¢ Harrison #622 & 17¢ Wilson
#623 plus precancels & FDCs. Generally very fine. Great
specialized lot.

/ 1926-2002 MINT PLATE BLOCK COLLECTION ....... $700-900

A mint plate block collection in black mounts on Minkus (to
year 1979) or Scott (1980-2002) album pages in Scott & plain
binders. Scattered early blocks, then more complete (80%)
starting 1931 with commemoratives, definitives and Airmails
up to 2002, lacking some earlier high face value items. Includes
Scott #893, modern Express Mails, C7, C46. Owner calculated
cat value up to 1960 at approx $1,000 with additional $1,000
in face post-1960. A few blocks here and there, couple used.
Overall very fine.

/ 1919-70s U.S. COMMEMORATIVE PLATE BLOCK

Many hundreds of plate number blocks of four, six or larger.
Mostly MINT never hinged, housed in two Scott green specialty
albums plus additional block files. Best material is 1919
through 1930s relatively complete commemorative collection
with NH including #611, 614-16, 617-19, 620-21, 648, C10
plus complete Washington Bicentennial, Parks and imperforate
Parks. Hinged include 537, 548-9, 610, 612, Famous
Americans. 2013 Scott catalog of pre-1940 issues exceeds
$5,000; later issues include well over $600 face. Some
