In clear mounts on Scott National pages to 2010. MINT, some hinged, most lightly, includes: RW1-11, RW23, RW27-29; others never hinged. Collection includes self-adhesive panes but no souvenir sheets. Overall fine to very fine and better. Cat $5712. 2546 In mounts in three Harris Liberty Plate Block Albums. A mixed bag here, the collection has suffered from moisture damage, and many, probably most, of the plate blocks in the first two volumes are stuck down (some lightly). Fortunately, the Airmails section was spared and there are a number of valuable items, all fresh and fine-very fine or better, including: MINT never hinged C3 plate block of 12 with two numbers and two ‘TOP’s, both outside ‘TOP’ pairs are creased vertically, otherwise fine-very fine plate block; C7-9; C10, C18; and more. The balance of the collection largely complete from the 1932 Washington Bicentennial set onward, and includes $5 Hamilton and $5 Moore plate blocks. Even the stuck down material fresh and very fine appearing and many are only lightly stuck down. Unfortunately much of the mint is stuck down on cards. Those that aren’t are hinged. Some of the stuck down could be worked loose with care, but have been counted as no gum examples. Some duplication and some minor faults, but plenty here to work with. Catalog still well over $2,300. All small in size, rouletted and without gum as issued. Very fine. Original instruction sheet included. Scattered early blocks, then more complete (80%) starting 1931 with commemoratives, definitives and Airmails up to 2002, lacking some earlier high face value items. Includes Scott #893, modern Express Mails, C7, C46. Owner calculated cat value up to 1960 at approx $1,000 with additional $1,000 in face post-1960. A few blocks here and there, couple used. Hinged include 537, 548-9, 610, 612, Famous Americans. 2013 Scott catalog of pre-1940 issues exceeds $5,000; later issues include well over $600 face.
