1965-66 COMPLETE PANE FIRST DAY COVER
SET ....................................................................... PH $300-400
First time we have ever seen this complete set of 12 different
entire miniature sheets of 15 stamps each First Day Cancelled
on covers. Each sheet contains 5 horizontal triptychs – six sheets
perforated & six imperforate. There are similar sets honoring
American and Soviet Astronauts/Cosmonauts. Each Soviet crew
sheet also includes overprint in French or in English for ‘Luna
9’, the American sheet overprinted for the Gemini 5 mission,
also in French and in English. An amazingly difficult set to
acquire, even as singles, as complete sheets, virtually impossible. Contains: Scott # 387a-393a, Michel # BL 9-10 A-B, BL
11-12 A-B (GT-5 overprints), BL 15-16 A-B (Luna-9 overprints).
No space collection can be complete without these. Small light
pencil notations on covers point out varieties. Very fine.
