West Pleasant Avenue is the main business
district and boasts a number of dining and
shopping destinations with a small-town
feel. Maywood public schools serve students
from kindergarten through eighth grade. As
a part of the sending/receiving relationship
with neighboring Hackensack, high school
students attend either Hackensack High
School or private/parochial schools. The
town has an easy proximity to the malls
in Paramus, but with a more laid back
residential feel.
