Bergen Center for Child Development was founded by parents as a non-profit school for the disabled in August 1968.
Since then, BCCD has continued to offer quality programming for multiply disabled students, aged 5-21, from the
local counties of northern New Jersey. A comprehensive
academic school program is designed to meet the needs of
students with both behavioral and cognitive needs. A token
economy, social skills training and cognitive therapy are
provided to ensure student’s success, administered by a
certified school psychologist and a certified school social
worker. The school has an extensive transition program.
An extended school year program is available for enrolled
students, as well as those from other programs. Instruction
is IEP driven, and all related services are provided accordingly. On-going program and student assessment is essential to
meeting the needs of our students.

The Berger Learning Group provides a range of ABA services
for children with special needs as well as typically-developing children varying in age from 18 months to 16 years. The
Group’s highly trained staff works with families and school
districts, under the supervision of its director, Diane Berger,
MA, BCBA, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a
Certified Special Educator. Among the services offered are
1:1 ABA/VB instruction, parent training, social skills training,
ABA program supervision/coordination, functional behavior
assessments, and positive behavior intervention plans.

The Children’s Therapy Center provides educational and
therapeutic services for children with developmental disabilities. A multi-sensory approach is utilized in a nurturing
and caring environment to enrich the lives of our students
and maximize their potential while lending support to their
families. Early Enrichment Program (EEP) for children ages 18
months to 3 years of age – open enrollment. NJ State
approved pre-school, kindergarten, primary and high school,
3 – 16 years of age and up to 21 once we expand to our new
campus in Oakland, NJ - 2016. Also available are support
groups for families, children with special needs who are not
enrolled and siblings of children with special needs.

The Children’s Therapy Center’s Early Enrichment Program
(EEP) is designed to enhance and build upon Early
Intervention services received in the home. By addressing
the social, physical, verbal and intellectual needs of children
in a peer-based classroom setting, children gain the basis
for their educational future as well as the confidence to
succeed outside the home.

The Educational Partnership for Instructing Children (EPIC) is
a 501(c)3 non-profit school dedicated to providing educational services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. EPIC uses the highly effective, scientifically documented
method of applied behavior analysis to teach new skills and
increase independence. This data-based approach provides a
learning environment in which each individual student can
