Kitchen The client wanted an open and inviting kitchen that wouldn’t be separated from the guests when entertaining. Accent tile on the backsplash adds a hint of pattern, while the smooth contrasting counters, Europeaninspired chandelier and polished stone floor give the space an understated elegance. As the kitchen opens directly to the spacious dining room, tall silk window panels carry the monochromatic warm tones to the walls and help frame the stunning views. A large round table with banquet chairs and a soft barrel shade chandelier are incorporated to perfectly scale within the space. Dining Room Old World detailing meets modern design in this space, with diamond tufting on the modern dining chairs and a delicate crystal chandelier suspended above a perfectly smooth stone-slab dining table. Floor-to-ceiling silk drapery from Evelin’s Creations, a Ridgefield boutique workroom, e longate the focal wall and create a sense of grandeur and simplified opulence. The clear leaded-glass window, simply framed in an overscaled trim and flanked by correlating crystal sconces, helps repeat the theme of understated modern refinement. 78 FALL 2015 (201) GOLD COAST
