The style of the client’s previous home trended toward overscaled traditional-transitional furnishings. Once they moved to their new residence in Edgewater, they wanted their home to invoke a more glamorous, modern and transitional feel. Family Room “This room was intended for family gatherings, so the space was designed to invoke a casual atmosphere for the client,” Deleon says. A large sectional was specified to allow ample seating for family and guests. A subdued, monochromatic area rug helps define the seating area. Soft lighting from the wall-mounted sconces also help frame the entertainment unit. The playful wall-climbing sculptures help give the room movement and also complement the vibrant artwork. > (201) GOLD COAST FALL 2015 77
