Living Room The living room is designed in loft-like minimalist and post-modern style to create a comfortable and conversation area for entertaining. “The view of the apartment brings the outside in,” interior designer Laurie Harrow says. “The view is so phenomenal that it almost didn’t matter what we did. It’s just spectacular.” A zebra rug from Africa is a centerpiece of the room and furniture is arranged so that it is conducive to allowing people to see one another from every view in the space. An abundance of trees, minimalist furnishings, and a focus on artwork provide nature and warmth for the Jerusalem tile floors throughout the apartment. (Not shown is a 12-foot wide triptych by Anne Peretz, which adds color and drama to the space.) Dining Room Modiani designed two custom credenzas that were created by Cesar. The credenzas are large and the defining pieces for the dining room. They were made from a unique heat-treated oak and were finished off with stainless steel legs. The chandelier, which appears to be floating, was made in Soho from materials used to make lenses for eyewear. There are also layers of glass pebbles and a light in the middle. 72 FALL 2015 (201) GOLD COAST
