expertise in dentofacial orthopedics, Dr. Carcara says, “I
evaluate a patient’s teeth, jaws and smile to develop a

overall dental health.” Dr. Carcara also believes that educating
patients is key to providing exceptional treatment. “If patients

Dr. Carcara recently celebrated over thirteen years of service at
his Westwood location and three years at his state-of-the-art
office in Allendale. Both locations provide the same outstanding

Dr. Carcara’s formal training is extensive and exceptional. After
receiving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from UMDNJ, Dr.
Carcara went on to complete a residency at Hackensack
University Medical Center. Dr. Carcara specialized in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at SUNY Buffalo, where he also
received his Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics and Oral
Biology. His published research on long-term retention of orthodontic treatment has been cited in lectures worldwide. Presently
serving as chairman of continuing education for the New Jersey
Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Carcara remains abreast of the
most advanced techniques in orthodontics. He has been voted a
repeat New Jersey Monthly, (201) Health and (201) Family Top
Dentist and was a New Jersey Family magazine Favorite Kids'
Doc in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
