“ Our practice is a little different because we really do the full scope .” Dr . Schulhof said .
He is one of the few surgeons in the state that is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon as well as a physician .
“ We pride ourselves on customer service ,” Dr . Friedman said . “ We know that every patient that comes to our office , is nervous about their procedure . But from the minute they talk to us on the phone to the minute they leave , they are consistently pampered . We do little things like give them teddy bears to hold , and we really take our time . The one thing we are really known for is that we are very gentle . Whenever adentist has a challenging patient that is very nervous , they send them to us .”

The practice also consists of the Center for Facial Aesthetics which combines the oral and maxillofacial practice with cosmetics . Dr . Schulhof explains , “ We take our knowledge of facial reconstruction and use it on the cosmetic side .”
“ Other physicians have issues with certain areas on the face , especially the lips , but that is our niche ,” Dr . Schulhof said .
One unique technique that they use , is performing fillers through the inside of the mouth . He said that causes no bruising , no puncture marks on the face and less pain because they can numb the inside of the mouth .
Dr . Friedman and Dr . Schulhof also specialize in facial reconstruction .
“ Five percent of people in the world have jaws that are not aligned ,” explained Dr Schulhof .“ We do a big surgery that takes months to plan and we can actually realign their jaw with their face .”
Dr . Schulhof is the President of the American Academy of Facial Cosmetics , which teaches physicians and dentists how to administer Botox and facial fillers . He also authored the first chapter on Botox and facial fillers to be included in a dental school curriculum text book .
