PARENTHOOD bundle of joy I WCBS-TV MORNING NEWS ANCHOR AND MAHWAH NATIVE CHRIS WRAGGE AND HIS WIFE, SARAH, MUSE ON PARENTHOOD WRITTEN BY AMELIA DUGGAN PHOTOGRAPHY BY ANNE-MARIE CARUSO FASHION STYLING BY HEATHER ZWAIN t’s been a whirlwind 15 months for Chris and Sarah Wragge, who married in 2015 and welcomed their first son, Christian Price Wragge II, in August. “It’s funny, a lot of the people that are close to me say, ‘Time has really changed for you,’ and I welcome that with open arms,” Chris says. “I couldn’t wait to be a dad, but first I had to find the right person.” The right person was his wife, Sarah, who is a partner in her own successful television production company and had well-established her career in media before becoming a mother. “We knew when we got married in 2015 that we wanted to start a family as soon as possible,” Chris recalls. “We thought it might not happen right away, but we were quickly blessed with a pregnancy and are so grateful in this whole process.” Both Chris and Sarah share the belief that it’s a miracle to give birth to a healthy baby and they prayed that the pregnancy would go smoothly, which it did. “We lead a healthy lifestyle. We eat well and exercise regularly and knew this would impact the baby in a positive way,” Sarah says. “My diet, nutrition 32 NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2016 | (201) FAMILY GROWING FAMILY Chris and Sarah Wragge were married in 2015 and welcomed their first child back in August. and exercise were imperative. The day my water broke, I was at a spin class. I exercised throughout my pregnancy.” When asked what he loves most about being a father, Chris takes a moment to reflect. “Everyone tells you how having a child will change your life and you will never be able to love something any more than that,” he says. “Fatherhood is all they told me and more. To hold him for the first time… and when I’m holding him, I just love this little guy so much it makes me cry! I get very emotional. Until you have one yourself, you don’t totally understand what it means to have this little boy or girl who will rely on you for the rest of their life. I really relish that.” Chris’s joy expounds as he shares his special moments with young Christian. “I went from nine months of talking to the baby inside my wife’s belly and then I met this person for the first
