Michel Chikwanine

Michel was born in Democratic Republic of Congo. He witness the Great War of Africa. His father was tortured and his mother was rape. He was force to be a child soldier along with his best friend, but his best friend didn’t get to grow with him. He was forced to fight in the war. He was one of the 250 million child labourers and he was one out of 300 thousand child soldiers. Now, he is an author and motivational speaker. He was featured in Oprah's "O Ambassadors Roots of Action" speaking tour, largely reaching students at resource-poor schools. He wrote agraphic novel called Child Soldier: When Boys and Girls are Used in War. His story was shared in CBC, CTV, also in news paper.
