Ashley was born with HIV because her mother was an addict to crack and alcohol. She fell ill at just two months old. She barely breath and she was taking to the hospital, they found out she had pneumonia in her lungs. She had one million HIV cells, but then they figured out she had AIDS. After 6 months in the hospital, she had to go to a foster place because of her mother’s addictions. At age five, a feeding tube was inserted in her stomach so she could eat and take her 6 different medications. They took her tube when she was 9 years old.
