At the age of 4, Molly Burke was diagnosed with "retinitis pigmentosa", a disease of the retina causing loss of vision. Her world did seem a little darker but her light didn't fade there. Just one year fater being daignosed, she started speaking as an ambassador for The Foundation Fighting Blindness Canada. Her story has inspired thousands. But despite this, Molly was bullied and suffered deeply from depression. Molly has travelled the world inspiring and motivating families and the youth. In 2009, Molly received the Oakville YMCA Peace Award for outstanding contributions towards developing undestanding in the community. At the winter games, she ran with the Paralympic torch. She also won the title Miss Teen Canada International on the same year of the winter games which was in 2010.

She advocates animals such as dogs and is a paasionate Guide Dog user. Molly is involved with a number of charities and organzitions and is educating, motivating and inspiring others to find their inner light.
