A NEW DAWN, A NEW
BEGINNING
All of us often face a day of new onsets in our life where we start thinking
differently, our perspectives change- in fact, widen up; and we develop a
sense of consciousness. We start discovering ourselves.
I had a similar experience the day my college life started. Before actually
entering into college, our imaginations start taking a steep ride upwards
and we mentally start preparing ourselves as to how to go about in
college.
But I soon realized that college life never fails to amaze you and always
leaves an unexpected look on your face by its fresh zeal and unique
charisma.
When I entered NSIT for the first time and looked at my new home for the
next four years, the euphoria was something that I had never experienced
before. Though it was just like school, there was something about it which
was making me all the more excited.
The feeling that you are a college girl now makes you more responsible
and mature than ever. It just comes. I could feel my heart pounding.
I had it in my mind that these four years of college are going to shape my
destiny. It is these four years that will build the foundation on which my
whole career depends. This life of independence will polish my
personality. In a crowd of 700-750 newbies, I had to make my own identity
and do something that would make people recognise me afterwards.
And more than anything else, I had to discover my own self. I had to find an
answer to the question- 'Who Am I?' Sounds strange, but yeah! There are
only a few people who actually know themselves well and those are the
people who manage to make a mark in this world.College teaches you,
actually guides you towards your interests and potentials. The various
societies run out are a help. Before coming to college I didn't even know
that I had a way with photography but now I know that Junoon- the
Photography Club of NSIT is one place where I belong.
