Born into a warzone, Michel has witnessed some horrific things. The torture or his father, the rape of his mother, and torture to himself. When he was just young he was taken and forced to become a child soldier. His childhood was ravaged with memories of war and decay. Luckily Michel escaped, but forced to leave his home as a refugee at the age of 11. Michel has now since joined Free the Children and traveled across African countries seeing first-hand the problems facing the developing world, but also the beauty of the communities and people who live there. Michel has spoken with over 100 000 people and now inspires people to believe in their ability to make a difference and leaves audiences with a new perspective on life, a sense of hope through social responsibility, and a desire for change.
