Warner Brothers Brazil

A famous businessman once said, “The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves.” This goes for people as well as corporations.

Warner Bros. is a leading global entertainment company, producing some of the best in film, television and music that entertain millions around the world. As a global leader, Warner Bros. always is on the lookout to deliver innovative and exciting offers to keep up with a rapidly changing market. For such a market leader, “good” can never be good enough; all work must be outstanding. This philosophy applies to all Warner operations throughout the world.

Background

So naturally Warner Bros Home Entertainment (WBHE) in Brazil, a subsidiary that produces home entertainment to consumers, wanted the best in technology and capabilities to distribute information on monthly releases from WBHE to its clients. At first, WBHE Brazil was using a paper-formatted magazine, Broadside. But it was expensive to produce, using an unnecessary amount of the monthly budget.

Challenge

WBHE in Brazil wanted to switch to a digital format for Broadside and wanted a platform to deliver content in an easy, yet engaging and intuitive way. WBHE, Brazil, wanted this all-in- one solution to be:

  • Cost-effective: to align with budget requirements
  • Trackable: to offer user-behavior statistics that track audience behavior
  • Appealing: with a new look and feel
  • Engaging: with interactivity for readers

Solution

WBHE in Brazil found Joomag. As a digital publishing platform, Joomag offers an end-to- end web solution for publishers to create, as well as distribute, digitally interactive publications.

Joomag’s easy-to- use, intuitive online editor delivered a solution to the WBHE Brazil team that went beyond their expectations.

The Joomag platform gave Broadside an entirely new look and feel. But this was just one improvement Joomag gave the magazine. Rich interactivity, promoting new WBHE releases, was another key benefit.

The WBHE team in Brazil was easily able to distribute the magazine to readers and tie an email marketing campaign to the magazine’s distribution. Joomag’s analytics also enabled the Broadside team to track the new magazine’s success.

Results of the new Broadside speak for themselves. Aside from rave reviews from WBHE clients, production costs went down for Broadside. Clicks went up for each subsequent view of the magazine, and new email campaigns are much more effective when tied to Broadside’s distribution.

Joomag’s Customer Support played a major role in enabling WBHE Brazil’s successful launch and implementation of a digital platform for Broadside.

Vinicius Iwashita, marketing coordinator of WBHE Brazil, said: “As a new venture into a new market, Joomag was able to provide the solutions and support needed to help launch our first digital magazine. We couldn’t have done it without their wonderful support.”

When “Good Enough” is simply not enough…you should do as WBHE in Brazil did:
