WINJFIX Vol.3 Independent: Rookies & All-Stars | Page 11

#1 I have been fascinated by backstories about how artists came up with their stage names. What is yours?

Secret Stash: Well I have always been associated with the underground music science from my relationships including my father, mother and ex-boyfriends lol. I've always rapped but lots of people I knew never knew aside from my family and friends when we would hold amateur rap offs. So when I started dropping music a close friend suggested I change my Name to Seecret Stash because of the stuff I do that lots of people never knew from writing to playing the piano.

#2 Your online present is minimal. Are you new to the music scene?

Secret Stash: I am new to promoting my music but definitely not the music scene. I've made lots of music but one of the producers I worked with reminded me that good music gets made everyday that will never get heard so it made me want to share my music with the world because I always try to educate or teach in my music.

#3 "Party In Cali" has the vibe of a California party in the summer time. The views are huge on Youtube.com. Is the single big in California due to your editorial connections?

Secret Stash: Exactly. That song was actually on The Millionaires Magazine first accompanying soundtrack that had several reputable names. I also wrote several articles for the magazine but the Editor, Darnell Thomas is an established business man that had lots of connections. So ever since I was blessed to work with him I have been able to make lots of connections and great networks.

#4 In this generation, less is best, fake is beautiful, everything positive about the women is lost? What is your take on the female women today?

Secret Stash: I think it's hard being a women with all of the negative media and influences to be perfect. I believe all women just want to be happy, love and to be loved. We all just come from a different cloth and past, making us a product of our environment and we act accordingly. I prey for the young mothers and wish there could be more positive female influences for them. We are all simply a product of our environment.

#5 What is Hip-Hop?

Secret Stash: I was saw this shirt and it explained it perfectly. It said Rap minus the lies equals Hip Hop. Hip Hop elevates the mind.
