yellow is the light, shining and shimmering,
through the dark clouds
.
yellow is the sparkling, glistening gold spilling
out of the ruby encrusted treasure chest
.
yellow is the joyful laugh of the delighted kids
playing beneath the boiling sun.
yellow is the only sign of light,
shimmering and twinkling,
in the dark night sky
.
yellow tastes like just ripe bananas lying
in the bowl, like sour, bitter lemons
waiting to be used.
yellow smells like flowers, waiting to bloom
,
and heat, growing and growing
.
yellow sounds like the gentle chirps of small birds and
the shouts of joyful children.
yellow feels like sticky, gooey honey and the burning sun
on your faces.
yellow looks like bright rooms,
full of joy and courage.
yellow makes me think of the bright beautiful sun.
yellow is so much of our lives.
