Whose art do you look up to the most?

I look up to my mom a lot... as I was a child I would sit there and watch her draw for hours. Even though we have very different styles artistically some of the fundamentals she taught me as kid I still use whether I’m drawing painting or tattooing... As far as other tattoo artist I look up, there are so many... As far as personal artistic taste I really admire Joshuah Carlton, Florian Karg, Nikko Hurtado, the list could go on.

How long have you been tattooing?

I'm just coming up on my 3rd year.

Whats your biggest accomplishment to date?

Winning my first award only 2 1/2 years is definitely my biggest accomplishment I won 1st place for best black and grey portrait.

Describe your personal art style in one sentence?

I would say along the lines of realism and a more illustrative, painted realism.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself pushing further and further with each tattoo, doing more conventions, hopefully winning more awards and putting some amazing work out there. I just want to keep learning and growing and become a well-known, respected artist in the industry.

What was your favorite tattoo style you've done?

Oh portraits hands down are my favorite to do... I love the challenge and it's just overall the most fun style I've done. I'm a huge fan of "Realistic Trash Polka" and would love to more of that.

I want to say thanks for sitting down and chatting with us Jason here at The Pit Unsigned. We look forward to seeing much more of you in the industry! -Amanda Dawn
