When you think about it, the only thing that is changing is how they get their information. We just have to evolve and figure out how we are going to give the information to the public. Newspapers aren’t going to die out of the industry. There are a lot of people out there who just wants to pick up a newspaper and read. We have to evolve with the future, even if it means finding a niche. The enduring strength of newspapers is their local coverage, from community news to financial to entertainment. The reality is that newspapers have more feet on the ground than any of the competing web sites. It’s nice to see the printed word still, at least for now. Analysis It was a very enjoyable and interesting conversation with Sara. I learned quiet a lot about the newspaper industry, and how critical it is to keep your reader interested in the story. As a writer and as an editor you really have to be passionate about journalism. You have to believe in your work and always
