Students watched a video about fire safety and had the chance to practice what they learned by visiting the Coshocton Fire Department Safety House, which was brought to the school. COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Humane Society is hoping to find forever homes for the final three dogs that were part of a group rescued from a hording situation. “There was no electric and no air conditioning in the building they were in,” said Rachael Selders from the humane society. “It was so hot in there. We had to get them out and get them some fresh air.” Dr. Butcher evaluated the dogs and unfortunately three had to be put down because they were so sick. “They all lived in crates and they were full of feces,” Selders said. “We spent hours bathing them. Some of them that had white on them are cream colored because we couldn’t get the stains all off.” The three dogs that are still looking for homes are Emilee, Natasha, and Honey. They are all good on a leash, house trained, happy, healthy and fixed. Emilee is currently living with a foster family.
