The Chart Room & Grog Bar

The best part of summer is taking a vacation
from the hot kitchen and dining out. Palates
change with the increase in temperature outside and it’s the season for fresh cool dishes that
both entice and satisfy your appetite, leaving
you refreshed and renewed.
Things are hopping at the Chart Room and
Grog Bar with new Executive Chef Mike Lynch
in charge. A Rockport native and graduate of
Rockport High School, Mike has returned
home to create his “art” after earning his stripes
in restaurants like The Grape and The Mansion
On Turtle Creek in Dallas, just to name a few.
Chef Mike’s philosophy is to create tempting
dishes obtained from responsibly grown food
sources and sustainable seafood as locally as
possible. The restaurant even has its’ own garden where many of the fresh herbs are used in
the food preparation. In a word, the end result
is FRESH!
Waterfront dining is a first choice when being
in the Coastal Bend and the atmosphere at the
Chart Room located on Key Allegro Island has
it all going on. Luxury yachts moored next to
Coastal Cuisine
the restaurant, along with beautiful sunsets put
you in a laid back mood. The unique and comfortable décor combines Texas-casual coastal
elegance with comfortable lounging on the bay.
Attentive staff and of course, Chef
Mike’s enticing menu will have you
