February Newsletter 2017 Oor Wullie Bucket Trail
Pupils in Mr Dowling ’ s Primary 1 class have been enjoying their 15 minutes of fame during the much anticipated Auchterarder Oor Wullie Bucket Trail . Not only were we contacted by local and national newspapers for information , pupils were also delighted to see retweets from Lorraine Kelly and Judy Murray , voicing their support for our wee bucket trail . Local businesses have praised the effort of all the pupils who designed the statues and have been very impressed with the level of engagement from pupils from across the Primary and Secondary school . Parents and members of the community enjoyed the trail too , with some of their antics being shared to an online audience of over 6000 people via the Lang Toon Times and Matilda ’ s musings blogs . The statues are in the Ruthven Gallery in a mini exhibition until Tuesday 28 February before returning to the school . We have yet to collect in all the donations and collections for the trail but our current total is creeping towards the £ 800 mark . It would be wonderful if we could hit the £ 1000 total by the end of the project .
