the motion picture Blue Suede by Stevenson Dor BLUE SUEDE an upcoming feature length melodrama with a release date of December 2014. “BLUE SUEDE “ is the work of Jr. Hepburm, who in his early 30’s, is being celebrated by a number of critics here in MIAMI as the new master of the action-film genre. His first indie movie, KILLING KHAN is due for release 2014, with a television pilot being considered by major networks. From seeing Mr. Hepburn’s KILLING KHAN he has a tendency to slip into slow motion sequences. Virtually every action scene in “KILLING KHAN” becomes a mini-homage to the slow-motion blood ballets Sam Peckinpah introduced in “The Wild Bunch.” Mr. Hepburn does, in fact, seem to be a very brisk, talented director with a gift for the flashy effect and the bizarre confrontation. The movie opens with the death of our lead Heroine Monica’s (CHAUNTY SPILLANE) sister Jessica. The final sequence involves an epic battle between an angry perplexed Khan, and with a slight human element. The villains steal the show in the epic film. A truly memorable sequence is between Ivan (Billy Vigeant) and Grenada (Cristina Moody). The film essentially combines the moody hardedged spy action of the BOURNE films with the off-the-wall action-violence of films like Die Hard. The combination proves immeasurably intoxicating as it is clear Jr. Hepburn is an action legendary director in the making. Actress Kate Jurdi blasts her way through countless bad guys. This all culminates in one of the most absurd yet exciting action finales I’ve seen in a long time. There are so few indie action films out there as over-the-top, yet strangely grounded in character as KILLING KHAN. It’s a daring mixture that, in the hands of an incapable director, could prove volatile. But with Jr. Hepburn at the wheel, an unwieldy narrative is shaped into something extraordinary.
