Sari Asahi Q&A Interview By Travarez Parsons You were on the Reality TV show Tattoo School in. What was it like to be on Reality TV? A It was definitely an interesting experience.. It’s always fun to watch the final edits and see what kind of character they made us all out to be. “Reality is NOT real, people! C’mon!” Haha! Q We all seen a reality have show here and there. They can get pretty wild. Do you have an wild crazy story that didn’t make it to the screen? A My classmates were pretty tame, and honestly the days filming were so long and draining that we didn’t get a chance to do much else. 22 Southern Inked November 2013 Q A I guess since I have a lot of tattoos, and crazy hair, people just assumed, because everywhere I went I was asked if I was a tattoo artist. That put the idea in my head. I’ve always been an artist, just never knew how to make any money doing it. Q Wasshow were you did the your apprenticeship or was that just for the show? show. I A It was just for theschool to actually went to What made you decide to start tattooing? get my foot in the door. After that, I got an apprenticeship. People should not go to school expecting to be a fully functional tattoo artist after only 2 weeks, but it’s a good start. Q How classify your do you tattooing style? specialize in A IJapanese, andfloral, school.. new My favorite being bright, colorful, cartoony tattoos. Also, I’m very light handed and somewhat of a perfectionist.
