Office FACE-LIFT

1 . The window seating area was made over with a few new things such as the pillow and a few starfish bought at the beach . Cabinet doors were taken off the front and metal baskets were placed in the spaces . Brass knobs in this room as well as the rest of the house , were painted with an oil rubbed bronze spray paint .
2 . A splurge item for the room was the compass pillow found at Kathleen ’ s Kottage , a favorite shop of Beth ’ s in Santa Rosa Beach , Florida . Beth ’ s husband had asked her to marry him on a bass boat while on the lake with the ring inside of an old compass , so the pillow is a heart-felt purchase .
3 . The old ladder belonged to hubby ’ s grandfather . On top of it is one of Beth ’ s favorite photos of her son at one year old .
4 . Also on the ladder are Beth ’ s balls of twine , which she uses quite often in her crafting . Creatively displayed but within easy reach .
5 . The niche with the built-in desk got a dress up with some curtains and lots of great pieces hung on the inside walls . Beth loves to fish so that hobby is reflected in the room along with favorite items such as the large , blue bead board plaque also hanging in the niche . An old crate got an update with added casters for instant rustic , rolling storage and was tucked away under the desk .
6 . The dresser and chest are both pieces from Beth ’ s high school bedroom set which she distressed and repainted . Above the dresser is a collection of favorite photos in fun , funky frames . An old Pepsi crate adds a bit more rustic charm . Continue ...
