Clarita loves the look of her open front cabinets and they are a perfect place to display a collection of dishes she already owned . “ My milk glass collection has grown , and dishes have been collected from thrift stores .”
The backsplash is bead board which adds a southern charm . Crown molding was added around the top of the cabinets and also around the ceiling for a finishing touch . Clarita ’ s decorating style also lends itself well to the kitchen ’ s overall charming feel . A lot can be done with very little and this little cottage ’ s kitchen is proof and inspiration .

One of 5 fireplaces in the house , Clarita likes to change the decorations on this mantle the most . She admits to running out of ideas for the other fireplaces so their look doesn ’ t get changed very often .
The mirror found a permanent home on the counter after a random placement there one day . Clarita dry brush painted the mirror ’ s frame and uses it to display favorite photos and other mementos that make her happy .
