Cent Café er Our first time heading into Richland Center, we heard that Center Café is the place to go for breakfast and decided to give it a shot. The building looked like every other diner, but of course, the food’s the thing… Although we went in the afternoon, they serve breakfast all day, so we tried the Country Boy and Country Gal breakfasts (2 eggs, choice of meat, and either pancakes or French toast) and found them both to be quite good. Having enjoyed the breakfast, we went back another day for a traditional lunch. This time I had a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger comes with a soup (fries are extra), which I thought was a little odd. I’m not a big soup person, but I decided to give the chicken soup a try and found that it was absolutely delicious. The cheeseburger was very good and the fries were decent, but the soup was the highlight of the meal. Aside from the soup-burger pairing, what struck me as a little odd was the size of the menu. It was almost an encyclopedia, with pages and pages of items, including breakfast, burgers, Italian, Mexican…lots of variety here. Given the quality of what we’ve had so far, we’d definitely be willing to try a few more items from the menu. For taste and value, Center Café was exactly what we were looking for.
