accepted a contract with Theatre
IV in Richmond, Va., to perform
in their children’s musical, “Hugs

Daniel Cooper ’13 won the
Baker Award for the Best Student
Presentation in Botany at the
annual meeting of the Virginia
Academy of Sciences (VAS) in
Blacksburg, Va. The presentation
was “Assessing the Floristic Quality
of the Abrams Creek Wetlands.”
Cooper completed an internship
with the Potomac Conservancy
this summer and began work in
August with Wetland Studies and
Solutions, Inc., an environmental
and consulting firm.

Adam Kursey ’13 in July.

married his girlfriend of 10 years,
Katie Reese, at the Clarion Hotel
in Shepherdstown, W.Va., in June.
The couple resides in Winchester
where Pendergraft holds a position
