Though he has never had a music lesson in his life, Ricky has been blessed with a true ear for
music. He is a vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and drummer. In fact, the musical genes run in the family;

according to Beverly, Ricky has only taught their children a few chords on the piano and God has
done the rest.
Beverly and her stepfather, Ricky Tolson, preach, sing, and write songs for the ministry. Her
stepfather has a genuine gift of songwriting; his words touch the hearts and souls of those who hear
them. In fact, singing groups have recorded his songs. Their inspiration to write lyrics comes directly

from God. Many of the their song lyrics were inspired by personal testimonies and others from simply
knowing who God is. “You can’t help but sing His praises!”

Though the Tyners have experienced struggles over the years, they attribute their well-being
today to the grace of God. For six years, the family was involved in full-time ministry and had to trust
God for everything, from finances to provision of their daily needs. Faithful to see them through
every storm, the Lord has been their rock. The Tyners walk by faith, taking one day at a time and
trusting God in all they undertake.
The First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Hartsville is their home church where Beverly
serves in leadership and teaches the young adult class, her husband plays drums and Beverly,
In August of 2012, Beverly walked through a valley when she lost her job and her father passed

job that was even better than the one she’d lost.
Our society today is more connected than ever; people are just a phone call, text, or Tweet away.
From calling business colleagues to chatting with friends, we sometimes overlook the most important person we need to be connected with: God. God has shown us through the ages that the power
as an arm extended from the church. “We know they are always praying when we are on the
road.” While on the road and in ministry, a supportive church family is paramount. Though
the family no longer travels out of North and South Carolina, with support from their church
family and God’s grace, the Tyners continue to minster to the Carolinas through song. “We

has truly given us a heart for people and soul winning. We want to go to Heaven, but we want
