been with them for 25 or more years, Lise describes The Plantation Shutter Co. as a family business. They’re grateful for each
team member, including their Florence rep of the past 12 years,
Woody Jones. “We have never had a question called in after Woody has met with a
customer. He explains the different choices in products, styles, sizes, and shows his
clients exactly how our installation is going to look once completed.” They also have
a father, son, and daughter team who work in their Polywood department, a sector
that makes The Plantation Shutter Co. so famous. “We are the only Polywood shutter

them!” This work motto is only part of their success. “We have competed against
national chains and box stores for years. We feel that our success has been due in
large part to the trust factor and the one-on-one contact we provide. We’d rather you
find out about our company through referral than any other way, though we do have
calls from folks who have seen our trucks at a neighbor’s house or driving down the

customers have invited you into their personal space.”
As the holiday season approaches, Lise and staff gear up for their busiest time of
the year. “Most any holiday tends to back us up a bit due to our customers wishing
for their installations to be completed before that all-important party or before the
family arrives. We are very busy during Thanksgiving and find it hard to catch our
breath before the Christmas season is upon us. The only week that we are closed is
between Christmas and the New Year, when we take a much-needed break. It’s full
steam ahead again during January just to catch up and get into our normal routine.”
They are in production four days a week year round, and their phones are answered
five days a week. “Our representatives will do their best to schedule your appointments at your earliest convenience.”
No matter how chaotic things may be, the team at The Plantation Shutter Co.
goes the distance for every customer. “We work hard and have learned from our mistakes. We are very grateful to the thousands of customers we have had the privilege
