Having beauty that appeals to the emotions, as well as the eye. That’s the definition of Lovely.

It could be that this might have been the last international fishing I do for a while. It could be that I was with my favorite travel partner who also embodies this term. It could be that the locals seem to add the term to everything even remotely in need of a well-placed adjective. No, I think that this is just the only way to describe this place. Lovely.

Several years ago a trip to Ireland had my wife and I wondering what Scotland was like. Ireland was a great place but lets face it, wondering what the fishing could be like in the land of spey and tweed had my angling mind racing. Salmon, highland browns, grayling, Nessie. All of these I was fairly confident I had a shot at landing on a fly rod. So with little knowledge and a lot of ambition we set out on our Scottish journey.
