136 The Paintball Extravaganza show attracts and brings together industry manufacturers, dealers and their personnel. Parts of that wealth of talent are the people who keep the gear up and running through tech support departments and local dealers. We asked some of paintball’s most trusted and knowledgeable technicians three questions and present the answers for you. Nicky T, Planet Eclipse X3: What do you enjoy most about conducting tech classes for one of the most advanced paintball manufacturers in the world? Nicky T: Educating people who are familiar on our products. Educating people, showing people how we work, and how they can work with us better to ultimately support customers worldwide. X3: Do you see any significant advances in paintball design/tech in the next couple of years? We ask this particular question because you famously have your finger on the pulse of international paintball technology. Nicky T: I’m sure Mr. Wood will come up with something. I hope he does, because I still have a mortgage to pay, (laughter). What is your advice to the novice paintball technician who is interested in working behind the scenes in the sport? Nicky T: Experience everything. Work hard. Get involved. If you don’t ask, you’re never going to receive. So, bug everyone until they say yes. Special PBX Edition
