The American Paintball League (APL)
made its debut this past February 21-23
in beautiful, sunny, warm southern California. The three-day SoCal Open was
held at The Paintball Park @ Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California and on
the docket were RaceTo games in seven
divisions, from Professional RaceTo 5
down to Division Four RaceTo 2. SO of
the big name teams in attendance were
Dynasty, Houston Heat, Destiny, LA Hitman, Crush, CP Raiders and Shooters &
Looters (S&L).
Game Time
So much for predictions, right? I’m pretty sure we’re not the only ones that predicted Dynasty or Houston Heat would
win the 2014 American Paintball League
SoCal Open Pro division. And like you,
we were wrong. Who knew Shooters &
Looters would play so well?
RaceTo 5 and RaceTo 4 divisions began
play at the SoCal Open on Friday. In the
Pro division Group One Dynasty came
out strong as expected winning their
first three games. Likewise, Shooters
& Looters took their first three. And in
their head to head game it was Shooters
7 Looters coming out on top. S&L had an
amazing point differential of 18 in their
four game (20-2 combined score in four
games), while Dynasty was plus 9. Black
Sunday, Orange County flashpoint and
Phoenix Contact all struggled in Group
One.
In Group Two of the Pro division Houston
Heat came out on top, winning their four
games with an impressive point
