TOURNAMENT
Shortly after the league’s first event of
2013 in Huntington Beach, California,
the NPPL had a change of management
(and probably ownership) and revamped
its schedule for the season. West coast
super-promoter Shawn Walker, who previously ran the NPPL (and other leagues and
events) for a short season, was brought
back in to run the “new” NPPL. And in this
writer’s opinion has done an excellent job.
Coming into the NPPL’s finale in Las Vegas
the Fort Wayne Outlaws were the team to
LLX3.COM
beat in the pro division, having won the
third event of the season. New England
Avalanche, Camp Pendleton Raiders, and
Portland Uprising were also playing well-each within striking distance of a series
title. To date no pro team had won two
events... three events yielded three different winners. But in Las Vegas the Fort
Wayne Outlaws changed that with their
second straight professional NPPL event
win. Camp Pendleton Raiders finished the
event in second place in the pro division.
